So the this was my first time buying an Artic zone product. The construction was solid and the design was also nice. The reason I am giving this product a 2 star review is due to the limited amount of space, cost and poor ice retention. I tested the cooler in my house where the temp was 74 degrees and most of the ice was melted in less that 24 hours! For the amount of money they are charging for this cooler it should be able to hold ice just as long as RTIC or Yeti, but it is a far cry from those brand. I would recommend spending the extra money to get one of the other coolers that will give you 8 to 10 days of ice retention instead of just the 4 days max that this cooler guarantees.

It’s OK. It looks nice, is really sturdy and will hold a lot of drinks. It does not hold ice well. We had it filled with a 25 pound bag of ice in the garage of our RV. The evening got down to 52 degrees at night and there was no ice in the morning. My recommendation, if you just can’t spring for a Yeti, Try to use frozen large water bottles or other solid frozen items instead of relying on ice which of course is smaller in diameter and thus, melts more quickly. You can also fill the cooler with rock salt and ice, but beware, the rock salt water may harm the surface you drain the cooler upon; including grass. Shock packs or Nordic Ice packs may help too. Good Luck! Wishing you summer days filled with ice cold drinks!
Amazon Customer –
I ordered this cooler for work and it came 3 days later then It was Supposed to filled with ice and buy the time I got to work and pulled the cooler out of my new car the ice was melted after further inspection I found they forgot to send/ install the drain plug ? Really ! There is no way of contacting the company through amazon so I had to order a replacement after a week I checked the eta and it’s a month away Bought this one instead of a yeti you truly do get what you paid for what a waste

The build is nice but the whole point to buying an ice chest like this is for ice lasting much longer than a traditional ice chest. I have tested this ice chest with both cubes and crushed ice and both have completely melted in less than 24hours. I have filled the ice chest with ice and nothing else and not opened it for 24hours and the ice was completely melted in 24 hours and barely even cool. Very disappointed, would not recommend. Buy a Yeti (buy once cry once).

Lots of reviews stating that the cooler does not (perform) as stated…. and all I can say is that my 55qt performed flawlessly!
Let me start by saying that everything is expensive these days, so when it comes to buying a $250 (cooler), we all are looking for it to do something that our currents one has failed us to do… and that’s keep your food and beverages cold.
Sure YETI is a house hold name- they’ve spent millions to attain establish that position as the “posh” or “yuppy” quality cooler. Good for them. But damn, their expensive.
But when it comes to the big price tag theses types of coolers ask… trust me in saying this, we’ve been already paying for this expensive style cooler through the cost of buying more ice than needed along with the added oss in spoiled food.
So, I took this guy out for its maiden voyage. A weekend camping trip into the Adirondacks with my family.
Short of the story… this cooler kept my food and drinks cold- just like pulling them from my refrigerator at home. How did it do it? All I did was watch their video on how to pack it. Just scroll back up to the photos in the product description and you’ll fine it there.
Here’s how I do it…
Thursday night: I froze 12 water bottles.
Friday afternoon: received cooler.
Friday afternoon I packed the cooler: i kept the video in mind as I packed it by laying the 12 water bottles across the bottom and pouring a 5lb bag of ice cubes over them. Than I placed my food and drinks over the ice and water bottles, and voila! Done!!
Keep in mind that my food and drinks all came from my fridge out in the garage.
Friday afternoon: headed out to the camp grounds.
lol weekend long: there was opening and closing. Keep in mind that my family of six aren’t constantly opening and searching for food all the time (like they do at home).
Sunday night: arrived home and unpacked the cooler- all the food was very cold (if not colder than) it would be in my house fridge. While unpacking I popped the top of one of my cans of beer, and it was nice and cold- just like I like it!
Morale of the story… you get what you paid for, and I’m pleased with my purchase.
