As dedicated beer snobs, my wife and I do purchase beer in bottles at times. Until we found this engineering marvel we had been relegated to can beer only while traveling. This is great, works well, seems sturdy enough, worth of a Nobel Peace Prize. You think I am being flippant. Well, you get up at 5AM, drive to work in rush hour, work all day, drive back home in rush hour, pick up the wifey, then drive another 5 hours, set up camp at 11PM, open the fridge to find beer leaking everywhere with glass, and stuff….at which point you have to hold back your frustration as you warned your better half that this particular preventable event could occur. Instead of drinking, laughing, and vacation spoonin, you have a war of the roses moment on your hands. Now you know why this refrigerator bar is so important to humanity, tender vacation moments, and the general happiness of nations.

This item is something I procrastinated on purchasing for our Camper last year. I am so glad I purchased this for this summer finally. Traveling with our camper through the mountain ranges can make everything in the camper shift dramatically. Nobody wants to open their refrigerator at their destination and find things falling out. We used this on our middle shelf in the refrigerator and it basically turned that shelf into a box that kept a bunch of small stuff right where it needed to be. Additionally, it was easy to “flip” open and down with only one of the bars intact still to get to those items. I will be ordering another very soon. This is obviously adjustable via length and tension.. but we really needed very little adjustment to fit ours to our fridge. *Completely Recommend*

A staple of RV living for decades, the design hasn’t ever really been changed either, because these still work! We’ve used them off an on over the years for our various RVs to keep items in place and on a shelf in an RV refrigerator.
They will work on many cabinet shelf spaces too, but I bought these for our fridge this time. While some reviewers I read said they could be easily separated, the plastic holders did break when I tried to separate them for our use when I found that together they basically blocked the shelf and separated they could now support two shelve decks in our RV fridge.
Easy to use, you just twist out the inside tube from the outside tube until it fits snuggly in the fridge against the rubber bumpers on the ends.
As I recall, the rubber end caps wear out long before the tubes do so these do not last forever!

Bought our camper a couple years ago and wondered why anyone would need these. After all, the refrigerator clicks closed for travel, why bother? Then we went on an extended trip and needed to carry far more in the fridge than on our short trips. To be blunt, the refrigerator will attack you every time the door is opened. Your toes are at great risk, it almost seems as if the fridge is deliberately throwing things at you every time you open the door. Hence, the refrigerator bars. They work. I love them. So do my toes.

These are great with a small and cheap mod. Here is the discription on Amazon of replacement tips. “50 Pack Rubber Door Stop Bumper Tips White Silicone Replacement Door Stop Caps Doorstopper Bumpers for Wall and Floor Protection, Universal Size
by Outus” they keep these and other Camco tension rod in place without sliding. Under $11.00. They stretch to fit over both ends and you get 50. Can use alcohol on larger end but I didn’t. I keep the top rod a little loose so I can tilt it to get larger items out without removing this each time if parked. The bottom rod stays put. Or keep top rod tight when on road. When stopped turn or two to tilt while bottom still stays when traveling.
