This is our second attempt to find a mattress like this that did not fail. We bought this and the SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil Technology (see our other review).
Both the Coleman and the SoundAsleep failed just AFTER the return window of 30 days. They both leak so badly they will not stay inflated, requires re-inflating more than once during the night.
There is a design flaw in these beds that use the ‘comfort coil’ design where the internal straps connecting the top and bottom of the mattress eventually tear a hole where they are bonded to those surfaces. Daily use for greater than a month caused both our purchases to fail.

Let me start by saying that this bed is amazing. It’s easily collapsible and stores quickly. We use this for all guests; however, lately we have been “camping” in our living room. It easily sleeps the 3 of us. I live that it has grooves along the outside that prevent us from falling off. After a complete night of sleeping we add a tad bit more air; however, that’s super easy. Just turn the dial and you are good to go. The entire thing inflated and deflated quickly with a turn of the button. One of the best products I have purchased from Amazon

UPDATE: More than two years later and it still holds air! Admittedly not as well as it used to, I now need to add quite a bit more air to maintain it for more than a night but that’s to be expected and it’s totally usable still (not like those cheap ones where you wake up on the ground because they’ve lost ALL the air). I’d say it loses about a 1/4 of the air overnight? Hard to gauge that. Definitely happy I went with this brand, great investment for the amount of time it’s lasted.

There is of course a certain amount of air loss that is expected in any air mattress, but I was looking for something that doesn’t seem to lose MOST of the air each time you sleep on it like most cheap air mattresses! I’ve slept on this for 5 nights in a row so far, and only had to add (a tiny bit of) air the 1st night and 3rd nights (and the first night I was expecting to add some anyway, since it was the first use and the material needed to stretch). Seems like it needs a “top off” every other day or so if you’re using it regularly. So far so good. I would definitely recommend this as a good option if you’re looking for something that is good quality but won’t break the bank!

It deflated over night. I woke up stuck in it like a taco. My dog hates it more because he was stuck under me in this taco. I released him from under my butt and not so gracefully rolled out of it and slept on the couch. I was staying at a friends house while my apartment was under construction. I thought maybe it was user error possibly and gave Coleman the benefit of the doubt.I am not a big person by any means either, so I don’t chalk it up to my weight seems as I’m only 160 lbs and my dog is only a 12 lb dachshund. Therefore, I tried it again the next night and, of course, my dog wouldn’t sleep in it with me which was probably good because I woke up as a taco again. I returned it.

I am moving across country and my bed will be in a trailer for 5 days for the trip. My old air mattress was not going to cut it. So I got this one. Due to some of the negative reviews I took it out and set it up early so I could make sure it’ll work for me. Overall I think it’s a great air mattress. There is a small amount of air loss in the morning but nothing huge. It’s super easy to inflate. I wouldn’t use it as a full time mattress. I think as a camping mattress or an occasional mattress it works really well. One of the reason I got this mattress over others was for the fact that it can be filled without useing the built in pump so I can take it car camping with me. I haven’t taken it down yet so I don’t know how easy it’ll fit back into the bag. As others have said it does have a small plastic smell and it makes quite a lot of noise when you move around (it’s plastic that’s what plastic does). And it’s not a true queen size. Closer to a full. Most air mattress aren’t going to be true to size. This air mattress does hold its shape well. My cats have climbed all over it and their nails haven’t hurt it at all. It’s good quality.
