I put this cooler into service on 4/7/21 and, unlike other reviewers, *both* of my latches failed on the same day (6/15/21). A MERE 70 DAYS!!! You can see from the pic that this cooler wasn’t abused at all. It rode in the front seat of my air-conditioned pickup during the day and in my air-conditioned house at night. Because I had read reviews complaining of this problem, I was very careful when opening and closing the unit. To no avail.
I really love everything else about this cooler. It’s tough (other than the above mentioned issue), it holds eight bottles of water perfectly, and it kept my water cold all day long. But without latches this thing is useless and for that reason I simply cannot recommend that you purchase this item.
(On another note, I would like to extend a formal apology to the reviewers who wrote about this problem and tried to sound the alarm. I rolled my eyes at you and questioned the integrity of your parentage. I deeply regret my immature response to your kind and considerate attempt to warn me and save me from heartache. You were right. I was wrong. Oh that I would have taken your wise advice! I am truly sorry and I beg your forgiveness.)

It’s a really good cooler want you have the cooler cold I can fill it with ice there will be ice in it for 4 days and on the 5th day I have to put ice but the water is still ice Cold I leave my cooler in my truck so it is above average hot if they give you an idea of how good the cooler is

This cooler certainly ranks up with Rtic and Yeti in regards to quality and efficiency of keeps elements cool and preventing ice from melting. With this being said, lets be honest…I have tested both Yeti and Rtic coolers and have never found ice to last the full 5 days they market to everyone, but still can hold close to that amount of time which is way better than the old coolers where one was lucky enough to have ice last one day. This DeWalt cooler is no different and found ice to last about 4 full days (on par with the other brands). The durability is equal to these brands and at almost half the price it’s clearly the better choice. In regards to weight….have a friend. This thing completely loaded with food, beverages, and ice is a beast to carry and no man/woman can carry it very far by themselves. If DeWalt can make an attachment of wheels that would be a tremendous add-on for them (as long as it’s at the right price).

I was like you.. I was searching for a cooler but did not know what to get UNTIL I stumbled upon the 10 Qt. Insulated Lunch Box Cooler by DEWALT. You can take this thing anywhere… from backyard barbecues, campgrounds, sporting events, and even the toughest job-sites imaginable. It ensures top notch temperature optimization, ice retention, and it even has a built in BOTTLE OPENER.
Let me tell you something else… I was at our community Hopscotch Championship (15th Anniversary) and needed a stool (bleachers were being used by the local crocheting club) – this cooler could even withstand the weight of a full-grown man!
Anyway, if you’re looking for a cooler that keeps your food and/or beverages cold.. look no further. It has a solid roto-molded structure and is dependable in any weather.
