…it REALLY DOES LEAK AIR!! I saw so many positive reviews, that I chose to ignore the roughly 10% of 1-star reviews that said this thing leaks. I was wrong — don’t be me! In the tent, it starts out fine (and the cordless pump is great, works like a charm). But by around 2:00 am, youj’re sleeping on the tent floor, with this deflated thing between you and the hard ground. It doesn’t leak right away — no, it lulls you into a false sense of security. So you fall asleep, trustingly. But no- the air finds its way out, ever so slowwwwly. And don’t give me this “the material is stretching out” line — it behaved this way night after night, on a camping trip. I tried different levels of initial inflation (soft, med, hard) — the result was always the same. By 2:00 am, you’re on the tent floor. Buyer beware!!

This mattress was quick and easy to inflate, and seemed very comfortable at first. We pumped it up and let it sit for a few hours to make sure it was ok. It seemed comfortable. Deflated it, and then filled it back up the next day. It held the air all day, and by bedtime had just lost a little air (or stretched out) so we added a little more air. When my daughter woke up the next morning it had lost about half of its air and she was practically on the ground. We gave it a try again the next evening, and the same thing happened. Since it’s so bulky and heavy it’s not easy to ship back. We’re going to chalk it up to a “lesson learned”…and won’t be buying anymore air mattresses.
UPDATE: I never bothered to contact Amazon or the seller about this problem because I had already thrown out the shipping material, and didn’t want to be bothered finding a way to ship everything back. I considered it a lesson learned, and posted a review to warn others. The seller read my negative review, contacted me, and offered to refund my payment. I was truly shocked! Now THAT is a seller who stands behind their product! And while I would preferred to have a great air mattress, I appreciate the care and attention I have received from the seller.

Took 5 minutes to blow this mattress up- after charging the pump. It’s just as comfortable as our bed and a great price. Super stoked to now have this in our camping gear!! Nice pack up carrying case & all the attachments to charge the pump at home or vehicle were included. This will also be a great extra bed in our home- if needed.

I took it camping, put it in my tent and it held air all through the night, and it was easy to inflate and deflate–and very comfortable. Second time out it punctured. I’m past the Amazon return window, but still within the one year warranty. But can’t find the phone, email or chat that Etekcity says to call. Happy to change the review when some method to contact and resolve is offered. One Day after a one-star review I was quickly got an email with many contact methods. I called, and someone in Customer Service picked up immediately. They sent me an email asking for some information and a picture of the puncture to begin the process to send me a replacement. I received the replacement within the week. Great warranty and customer service on top of comfort and ease of use.

This air mattress was bought to be used on top of a tri-fold sofa as a sleeping surface in our motorhome. Over the last few years we have purchased at least three air mattresses each year and been disappointed with each one. We had debated getting a foldable foam but finally decided to give the Etekcity a try. When the package arrived, we immediately charged the air pump and were impressed with how quickly it was able to inflate our old air mattress. Unfortunately that air mattress was not able to hold air beyond a few hours but we did not actually inflate the Etekcity mattress until a week ago when we began this camping season. The first inflation did not allow the mattress to get to its full 60×80 inches size but after a few more inflations I think we are now queen sized. After 7 nights of sleeping on this mattress, we have no complaints. By the end of this trip (2.5 months) I will have a better idea of whether or not this purchase was worth the extra $$ paid.
UPDATE: I am so sad to report that after 61 days in the spring and 13 days in August (daily use on top of our RV tri-fold sofa) this mattress developed a slow leak rendering it unusable for our purposes. For the last 3+ years we have used a cheaper air mattress and have ended up replacing several times a year (we usually camp for about 60 days twice a year). We purchased this more expensive air mattress with a warranty in hopes that it would hold up better and would last us for the entire year but are sorry to report that it did not last as long as we had hoped.
