This cooler is perfect for my needs which are daytrips out to shoot photos. It excels at keeping everything cold for days at a time (lunch, drinks, snacks) on a single 7 lb bag of ice in very hot/humid weather. The size is perfect, not very small or very large, it’s a medium size cooler that easily fits 2 gallons, three 6 packs and lunch or a couple bottles of wine and cheese. The people taking off stars because of size (too large or small) should have read the dimensions before purchase or researched the dimensions online. It’s unfair to give a poor rating because of customer error. As far as leaking in the rain, get a small tarp to put over it. Who leaves a cooler out in the pouring rain w/o a cover anyway? Also not fair to remove stars because you leave your cooler out in the rain w/o any cover. The handle is strong and I have no problem carrying this cooler loaded w ice and beverages/snacks, no problems w the handle at all. I love this cooler and for the price plus USA made you cannot beat it. I am extremely happy w this purchase.

Huge improvement! I work HVAC. You get pretty hungry. On the right is my old box I couldn’t even fit a salad container in. The choice is yours.

My husband was looking for a cooler that he could also sit on during breaks at work. Tried out a few others that felt like the lids were going to snap when you sat on them but this one is sturdy! He loves everything about this cooler. Very happy customer.

I bought this cooler just to use a couple to 3 days at a time… it’s small enough to pack around. Fairly thick sides and top. Best thing about it is I didn’t have to take a loan out to buy one of the crazy cost roto molded 170 to 300 something coolers. If somebody steals this cooler I’m out only 28 bucks and some change.. I did an ice test with 8 sixteen ounce bottles of water from Saturday morning at 8 am till Monday morning at 8am. Left the cooler on back porch the whole time with temps running 85 to 90 degrees during day. only opened cooler maybe 8 times during the whole test. Ice was completely melted Monday morning. But the drinks were still cold. Sunday morning the ice was melted pretty good but still had some chunks in it and drinks were still good and cold. overall it’s a nice cooler and its American made. I refuse to spend 300 bucks on a cooler. or even 189.00..

This cooler seems very well made, no issues there, but there is a problem I need to highlight. The website gives the outside size as 12.4 x 11.5 x 12.5. inches. I have no idea how they got this , because in fact the cooler outside is 10.5″ wide, 10.0″ deep, and 12.5″ high, not counting the handle. Inside it measures 9.0″ wide, 8.5″ deep, and 9.0″ high, which is important if you want to use the Cooler Shock 10 x 10″ pouches. So I ordered the 12-quart Igloo based on the website, but only one pouch fits diagonally, and putting one on top is impossible. Since I ordered this cooler to fit the pouches, I’ll have to get a different one, because the pouches are more expensive than the cooler (and their technology is amazing).
