I was not sure how these lights would be. I have to say out of this world upgrade. So great I reordered as soon as I installed the first 2. Great that they can be dimmed super light and simple to install. Looked forever for this light to upgrade my motorhome.

I have a Sprinter Van RV conversion that had 3 18″ flourescent ceiling fixtures. One had been converted to LED strips in place of the tubes and was different from the others. I decided to replace all 3 with these fully LED fixtures that were the same L & W dimensions but much thinner than the originals. These also have nice dimming feature so you can have full, bright lights, or dim them to have more ambient lighting. The only difficulty I had was that the old fixtures had a cutout in the ceiling and there was only about 1/2″ around the perimeter that this new light overlapped the hole. The mounting holes of the fixture turned out to be only over the hole so the screws had nothing to go into. I had to drill additional holes outside the existing holes in order to have them be able to screw into the ceiling panel. Other than having the silver screw heads visible, this worked well and the lights are bright, quiet, and cool. I’ve only had them a few days, so no comment on longevity yet. LED lighting is SO much better than halogen or flourescent. (I also replace the halogen bulbs in the “puck” lights under cabinets with LEDs that are brighter and cool and energy efficient. Halogen are so HOT.)

This LED light fixture fits perfectly as a replacement for the 12 volt fluorescent ceiling lights in my 1999 diesel motorhome! It could actually pass for OEM. I leave the fixture on and use the motorhome’s light switch to operate, but I can also use the on/off button on the fixture itself. I really appreciate the four intensity/candle power settings and leave it on 50% unless performing routine maintenance under it. Lastly, the cool white color temperature (4,000 – 4,500 Kelvin) is perfect for being able to see clearly for cooking, cleaning and playing cards!

I love that these lights are nice and bright, great upgrade from fluorescent lights. The only problem is that fluorescent Thinlights are recessed and these are surface mounted. The hole in the ceiling left by the Thinlights is larger than the mounting pattern of these lights, so there is no way to mount them to the ceiling. I had to glue some wood strips inside the hole to make it smaller so these new lights could be attached. Kind of a hassle, but once finally installed they work great.

These are very bright I installed two of them in our rv slide out they are low profile, I dont hit my head on them. I like that there are different levels of brightness.
