After 2 minutes the burner started spewing flames from the bottom holes starting the ignitor button on fire. Butane canister was secured tightly and everything else seemed fine. I used the Gas One brand fuel blend. If that is the wrong fuel for this burner then it’s my fault. However it is the fuel that amazon showed for “buy all three for…” Keep everything else as it is a nice setup, toss the burner, and buy a quality one that you know will be safe.

For the price, this set was okay. It is super small and compact to pack which is a plus. We really only cared to have the pot, pan, and kettle. The plates are kid size. The utensils are not at all worth it and would not stay locked. We didn’t even bother with the cups. Take a different set to eat with and a thermo mug for your tea/coffee.
Our campsite had a grill and we used that too cook. I will update once we use the stove piece.

Camping out from my truck tent and needed something to cook up some grub. So far, I’ve used it mainly for boiling water for soups, coffee and on some hiking trips.
Pros:
Arrived on time and all complete pieces
Compact
Durable
Collapsible
Everything you need as a starter kit for camping cook gear.
Cons:
Don’t really have anything bad to say about the product but will update if anything after a few more camping trips if it doesn’t hold up to its quality.

This camp mess set is great for my intended purpose, which is for use in my urban go bag in case of emergencies. Yes it’s small and lightweight, and that’s the point. If you want a camp mess set fit for your luxury glamping excursions, this one will disappoint you. If you want a set for backpacking or for your go bag for 2 people, this is a solid choice. The quality is just fine for my purposes, and nothing is ill-fitting or coming apart as other reviews mention.
Here are 3 tips that may help you solve common problems other reviews mention:
1) Take photos as you disassemble the set for the first time. That makes it immensely easier to put it back together in the correct order. I added my pics of the process in case you forget. 🙂
2) The metal cups were stuck together due to the plastic liner when I took my set apart. This is an easy fix if you know anything about how metal behaves in hot and cold. Remove as much plastic as possible. Fill the inside with ice water. Pour hot or boiling water over the bottom of the outside cup, then pull. Cold will contract the inside cup and hot will expand the outside cup.
3) The flatware will not collapse while using if you set it up correctly, which is a two step process. First, make sure pins at the joint of each piece click into place. (You should have to unclick the pins to fold them.) Second, slide the metal crossbar on each piece all the way forward toward the joint prior to eating. This crossbar isn’t decorative, it’s a mechanism to help support the joint pins from unclicking. Slide the crossbar back toward the end of the handle prior to refolding to release the pressure on the pins.

Only used it once since I got it. So far it was okay experience. It’s small and compact, saves a lot of space. I like pots and cup, good size and fairly easy to clean. but the stove is flimsy, my pot cannot sit on all four legs, and I have to constantly hold the pot just in case it falls off, it needs a bigger stove to fit the pot. I’ll continue to use the pots but not the stove. Forks and spoons don’t stay in places, always get folded when eating, kinda annoying.
